Esa es la declaración oficial de este equipo, de esta página web y de nuestra forma de enseñar y aprender español.
Si queremos expandir la consciencia del lenguaje como una forma de conexión entre las personas, necesitamos observarlo, practicarlo y enseñarlo como una herramienta de comunicación y no como un obstáculo o como el fin en sí mismo. Creemos en un español inclusivo, antipatriarcal y anticolonialista. Lo más importante es comunicar y abrir puertas al respeto, al autoconocimiento y al contacto.
That is the official statement of this team, of this website and of our way of teaching and learning Spanish.
If we want to expand the awareness of language as a form of connection between people, we need to observe, practice and teach it as a communication tool and not as an obstacle or as the end in itself. We believe in an inclusive, anti-patriarchal and anti-colonial Spanish. The most important thing is to communicate and open doors to respect, self-knowledge and contact.

Plan your Spanish learning for the week with this tool
Escribe tus palabras. No solo las que aparecen en tu clase y son útiles.
Escribe las palabras que:
1. Amas por su sonido, significado, letras, las palabras que son más fáciles o aprendes primero.
2. Odias porque son muy difíciles o porque no entiendes.
3. Escuchas en tus series favoritas. "Hasta la vista baby" o "Plata o plomo" no las olvidarás nunca.
4. Lees o leíste en los restaurantes, estaciones, boletos, nombres, publicidades, lo que recuerdes.
Escribe y atesora. Tener un cuaderno de tus palabras en español es diferente a tener solo un cuaderno de vocabulario.
Write your words. Not just the ones that appear in your class and are useful. Write the words that:
1. You love for their sound, meaning, letters, the words that are easier or you learn first.
2. You hate because they are too difficult or because you don't understand.
3. You listen to your favourite series. "Hasta la vista baby" or "Plata o plomo" you will never forget.
4. You read or read in restaurants, stations, tickets, names, advertisements, whatever you remember. Write and treasure. Having a notebook of your Spanish words is different than having just a vocabulary notebook.
Encuentra un lugar donde practicar. Un lugar donde sientas comodidad y sea divertido. GOZA TU PRÁCTICA DEL ESPAÑOL! Puede ser una escuela, profe, tandem, amistades, este punto es especialmente importante cuando no vives en un lugar donde hablan español.
Find a place to practice. A place where you feel comfortable and fun. ENJOY YOUR PRACTICE! It can be a school, teacher, tandem, friends, this point is especially important when you do not live in a place where they speak Spanish.
Con la práctica explora la PRONUNCIACIÓN. ¡Atrévete! si usas una palabra (aunque no sientas seguridad de decirla bien) podrás aprender y alguien quizás te corregirá pero lo más probable es que escuches la palabra y puedas imitarla.
With practice, explore PRONUNCIATION. GO FOR IT! If you use a word (even if you don't feel confident saying it well) you will be able to learn and someone will perhaps correct you but most likely you will hear the word and can imitate it.
La GRAMÁTICA!!! Puede ser divertida y ayuda a tener claridad. Poquito a poquito, nadie te apura.
The GRAMMAR!!! It can be fun and helps clarity. Little by little, nobody rushes you.
Aprender CONECTORES te entregará fluidez consistente. Decir: sin embargo, no obstante, mas, se escuchará estupendo en vez de decir pero pero pero todo el tiempo.
Learning CONNECTORS will give you consistent fluency. Say: sin embargo, no obstante, mas, it will sound great instead of saying pero, pero, pero (but) all the time.
VOCABULARIO de tu interés. Si eres un fanático del cine, ¡no esperes a tener un nivel B2 para hablar de cine!! pide, busca, confirma tus palabras de vocabulario porque en español tu cerebro es el mismo cerebro que en tu idioma nativo, por lo tanto, esos temas y palabras que usas siempre serán las que querrás saber. Podrás adaptar la mayoría de ellas.
VOCABULARY of your interest. If you are a fan of cinema, don't wait until you have a B2 level to talk about cinema! ask, search, confirm your vocabulary words; because in Spanish your brain is the same brain as in your native language, therefore, those topics and words you use often will always be the ones you want to know. You will be able to adapt most of them.
Busca ESTÍMULOS en español. Series que ya viste, ahora escúchalas dobladas en español, música, podcasts, usa a tus amistades que hablan español, ¡mantén la motivación!
Search RESOURCES in Spanish. Series that you already saw, now listen to them dubbed in Spanish, music, podcasts, use your friends who speak Spanish, stay motivated!
